There are 13 public schools serving a population of 38,212 people over an area of 952 square miles, and Oswego High School is the only public high school in the county with a student body of more than 1,000 students and 2,500 students enrolled in grades 9-12. The inhabitants of Region 3 live in Syracuse and the suburbs around Syracuse. There are 13 public schools in the county, with an average of 4.5 students per student, serving a population of 119,833 people over an area of 1.2 million square feet, or about one-third of a square mile. Lake Oswgo has a public school system with 13 schools serving 38 and 212 people, respectively.
Oneida Lake is in the northwestern tip of the county, Adirondack Park is in the northeast, Albany is 150 miles east, Syracuse is 40 miles south and the town of Oswego is 12 miles west in Mexico Village with a population of 22,000. The southern city boundary is the border with Os wego County; the eastern part and the northern city boundary are the boundaries with Lewis County. Both cities in Oswoggo border the states of New York and New Jersey, as well as the Hudson River.
Syracuse is located in the heart of Adirondack Park and is an ideal location for expanding commercial, cultural and entertainment opportunities.
The city has a wide business district, which focuses mainly on summer tourism, as well as a charming historical district with a variety of restaurants, shops and hotels. Oswego also has its own television station, WTOP, which is part of the New York State Public Broadcasting System and serves as the only public broadcaster in Adirondack Park. The city is home to the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology and is run by a student newspaper, the SUNY Os. There was also an ice rink and a large public swimming pool on the grounds of Fort Ontario.
Visitors can also learn about the history of the city by visiting the Fort Ontario Museum and the Robert E. Lee National Historic Site. For true country life in the heart of Adirondack Park and great views of Oswego, head to the historic town of Adams, home to the Adams Historic District. The city and Adams are working to become part of I-81, which will provide easy access from the state highway and access to a variety of attractions and attractions.
It is an easy drive from Syracuse and Fulton to Oswego and from there east through Adirondack Park and downtown Adams.

Illinois ranks second - the best school district for student achievement and third - the highest for academic achievement. It is also among the 10 percent of all Illinois public schools in terms of academic achievement and ranking of all New Yorkers.
The Oswego City School District is a community where colleagues share a passion for teaching and ensuring student success. On Monday, it announced that the school year - the long closure of all public schools in Lake Oswgo, Oregon - will be extended until at least Friday, December 1, 2017, in honor of the first day of school for students in the public school district located at the University of Oregon School of Public Health and Human Services in Portland.
